    • Prosecution of Juvenile Delinquency and Juvenile Dependency Cases.
    • Supervisor of the Legal Unit of the Child Support Division.
    • Lead Attorney in the Child Abduction Unit.
    • Lead Attorney in Truancy.

Community Activities
  • Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Chairman of Scholarship Program for High School Students which raised over $32,000 in college scholarship in 2007.
  • Member of community relations partnership committee between District Attorney's Office, People's Missionary Baptist Church, Law Enforcement Agencies and other Community members and organizations.
  • Vice-President of Women s Mission Group Supervisor of Young Adult Women s group at St. John Missionary Baptist Church.
  • Member of Big Brothers and Big Sisters Organizing Committee.

Education
  • Graduated from Cal-State University Dominguez Hills with double major in Political Science and African American Studies.
  • Obtained Jurist Doctorate Degree from Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C.

Personal
  • Raised three children as a single parent who all currently attend four year colleges and Universities.
  • Currently married to Ronnie Mitchell and the mother of a blended family of six children.

9.  She currently serves as Lead Attorney for the Enforcement of Truancy Laws for six school districts, including Bakersfield City Schools, Panama Buena Vista School District, Greenfield Union School District, Richland School District, Norris School District and Rosedale Union School District
10. She has organized and participated in several field trips for over 275 high school students to visit the courts and the Forensics Crime Lab to gain exposure to careers in the Legal and Law Enforcement fields
11. She has received the ASCA Golden Apple Award in Education for valuable contributions to the students of Kern County
12. She participates in Truancy Reduction Coalition (T.R.A.C.K.), partners in Kern County who seek to reduce school truancy and increase educational excellence
13. She serves as a leader at St John Missionary Baptist Church.  Serving as the 3rd Vice President of the Women's Auxiliary; member of the Women's Missionary Union Executive Board; Supervisor of the Young Women's Auxiliary; Supervisor for the Youth Council; past Director of the Marriage Enrichment Auxiliary
14. She has served as Past President of Kappa Omega Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.  As a dedicated member she gives her time to the organization in service to all mankind participating in such events as pageant and college scholarship programs for college bound young women; Walk-A-Thon for Education to raise scholarship funds; Annual African American Graduation Awards program honoring graduation seniors and junior high school student throughout Kern County
